ING/ANZ bring new product to market

mike taylor

ING and ANZ are claiming an industry first with the launch this week of a new super pension and integrated cash management account they say enables customers aged over 60 to gain direct access to their pension funds through ANZ branches, Internet banking and automatic teller machines.

The new product has been launched to coincide with the new ‘simpler super’ rules and will be a part of ING’s OneAnswer superannuation product.

According to the two companies, the new product will allow pensioners to maintain all of their retirement savings in a single integrated product while using the linked cash management account to pay significant expenses.

Commenting on the new product, ANZ Group managing director Brian Hartzer said it had been developed following extensive research with customers and advisers.
