Future Group has partnered with Bravura Solutions subsidiary Midwinter to expand digital retirement advice capabilities across its superannuation and insurance brands, with Future Super becoming the first to launch the new offering.

The rollout gives more than 400,000 members access to personalised retirement advice through a digital-first experience embedded directly within the Future Super app, as funds continue searching for lower-cost ways to deliver scalable member engagement and advice services.

Under the partnership, Midwinter’s technology allows members to access retirement projections tailored to their personal circumstances, explore wealth accumulation strategies aligned to their goals and risk appetite, and receive guidance on contribution strategies designed to maximise retirement savings.

The platform also enables members to adjust investment strategies through a self-service digital journey and receive a Statement of Advice in real time.

“We’ve had a collaborative approach from the outset, allowing us to focus on a clear and collective vision: how we guide our members to a sustainable retirement, while also considering their individual circumstances and goals,” said Rosh Singappuli, general manager partnerships and advice at Future Group.

Future Group said the technology has been integrated directly into the member app, with member information pre-populated into the advice journey before results are returned to the platform.

The firm said the process reduces friction for members while allowing advisers to focus on more complex advice requirements.

The first phase of the rollout focuses on pre-retirement advice, although the platform has been designed as a broader advice ecosystem that can support future expansion across the group’s multiple brands.

“The approach taken by Future Group moves beyond guidance alone. It provides members with clear, personal advice so they can take real action, not just understand their options,” Singappuli said.

Midwinter head of advice products, Michelle Lusty, said the partnership highlighted how mid-sized funds could deploy enterprise-grade advice capabilities without the time and cost burden often associated with large-scale advice programs.

“The energy and drive from the Future Group team to deliver better retirement outcomes to their members has been inspiring,” Lusty said.

“The partnership is a signal to the broader superannuation industry: mid-sized funds don’t have to choose between speed and quality when it comes to delivering advice to members, with agile execution setting a new benchmark for digital engagement in Australian super.”

Lusty said the implementation demonstrated advantages including faster deployment, modular scalability, improved member engagement and stronger retention outcomes.

Future Super, which was the first Australian super fund to exclude fossil fuel investments from its strategy, is the first of Future Group’s brands to offer the digital retirement advice functionality.
