New portfolio manager at Prime Value Asset Management

Boutique Australian equities manager Prime Value Asset Management has appointed Shih Thin Wong as a portfolio manager.

Working closely with Prime Value's co-chief investment officers Han Lee and Leanne Pan, Wong was most recently Xantias Financial Management head of investments where he managed active Australian equities portfolios.

Before that, he was PineBridge Investments equity fund manager - at the time know as AIG Investments - and worked at Daiwa Securities Australia in the role of senior research analyst.

With his extensive equity experience across Asia, Prime Value co-founder and director Yak Yong Quek said that Wong's appointment was an important boost to its investment team.

"We now can boast a formidable team of three experienced senior portfolio managers who have each individually performed the role of CIO," said Quek.

"There will always be a demand for managers who can prove their value as stockpickers."
