Mercer has picked up another superannuation mandate, having been appointed to provide administration and member services to the ANZ Australian Staff Superannuation Scheme.

The new mandate was announced this week, with ANZ scheduled to transfer the administration arrangements, including insured benefits for death, total and permanent disability and salary continuance, from early next year.

As well, Mercer will provide a range of additional services including a helpline and claims handling.

Commenting on the mandate, ANS Staff Super chairman of trustees Russell Rechner said Mercer was best positioned to deliver the services the fund was looking to provide its members.
