Three former superannuation directors are among recipients of the Order of Australia honours.

John Priestley was a former president of the ESS Super Fund Victoria from 2012-2016 and became an Order of Australia member (AM) for significant service to the business sector, education and the community.

Meanwhile Merran Kelsall was a former director of VicSuper from 2016 to 2020. The fund merged with First State Super in 2020 (now called Aware Super) and Kelsall moved to work as a director on CareSuper.

She was recognised as an officer (AO) for her service to the financial accounting sector, to professional organisations and to the community.

Finally Winsome Hall received a medal (AOM) for service to the community and was formerly chairman of Zurich Australia Superannuation from 2008-2019 and a trustee director for Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation from 1996-2020.
