A worldwide search has led to the appointment of Peter Zabierek as chief executive of global listed real estate fund manager Presima.
Zabierek is taking the reins from current chief executive Nick Basile.
Zabierek has over two decades of experience in the funds management industry and has worked exclusively in the global real estate investment trust (REIT) space for the last 15 years.
He most recently finished 10 years tenure with Global Real Estate Securities at Urdang Capital Management as managing director and co-head, growing the business from $250 million to $7 billion.
He has also worked at Morgan Stanley and Salomon Smith Barney.
"We're extremely pleased to have attracted a candidate of Mr Zabierek's calibre," Basile said.
Zabierek said: "With a structure and culture that promotes communication, collaboration and risk management, Presima embodies all the qualities investors are looking for in a global REIT manager."
