Industry Super Australia (ISA) has appointed former Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) senior manager, Dr Nick Coates, as a senior adviser.
ISA chief executive, David Whiteley, said Coates would strengthen ISA’s capacity to define the interest of members against adverse policy change.

At ASIC, Coates oversaw consumer protections in financial advice, and was most recently a Ernst and Young director in the area of financial risk management.
Coates has also worked at ISA as head of government relations and policy where he played a key role in policy work on regulation of financial services.
