LGS appoints Penrith councillor to board

Local Government Super (LGS) has appointed Penrith City councillor, Karen McKeown to its board, replacing Lindsay Brown.

McKeown is also a former mayor of Penrith City Council, a director of Local Government NSW and Penrith Visual and Performing Arts, and had over 20 years’ experience in the finance industry.

At LGS, she would sit on the Audit and Compliance Committee, Member Services Committee and Risk Committee.

“We welcome Karen to the Board; she brings extensive leadership and organisational experience to the Board, and a real passion for helping women boost their super and improve their lives in retirement,” LGS chair, Bruce Miller, said.

The appointment was effective from 10 April, 2018.
