Northern Trust has appointed Peter Jordan as head of Global Fund Services (GFS) in the Asia-Pacific region.

He will be based in Melbourne.

Jordan was made head of GFS in Australia and New Zealand earlier this year. In his new role he will report to head of GFS Peter Cherecwich, and Singapore-based head in the Asia-Pacific region William Mak.

Jordan joined Northern Trust in 1992 and held many roles in the firm including chief administration officer for GFS.

Based in London, he looked after the firm's global institutional client relationships.

He was also the managing director in Ireland for three years.

Jordan replaces Camie West, who returns to Chicago to head strategic client relationships for GFS.

West will now be responsible for global GFS clients and prospective clients, where she will link regional relationships to form a global service model, the firm said.
