NFS Super has appointed its first female chair in a shake-up of its trustee board.

Kim McHugh was appointed new chair after long-serving former director and chair Owen Kilpatrick left in September.

Kilpatrick served as a director from 1994 and has been chair since 2004.

McHugh has served as a trustee director of NSF Super since 2007. She is an SMSF specialist adviser, a registered tax agent and an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and CPA Australia.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to chair NSF Super's Trustee Board, as we continue to work together to position the fund competitively for the future," she said.

NSF Super appointed new members to its trustee board earlier this year, with Timothy Edmonstone joining in October, and Professor Maree Gleeson and Helen Imienionek joining the board in April.
