Melbourne boutique investment manager Omega Global Investors* has appointed Andrew Cleeland as an investment research analyst.
Cleeland makes the move from Austock Securities, where he spent five years building and managing the firm's quantitative research along with the construction of research reports.
Omega joint director of investments Andrew Gruskin said Cleeland's experience in the research field would "further enhance our business and investment team on behalf of institutional clients".
According to Omega, the appointment strengthens the firm's risk-focused management capabilities and adds further depth to its proprietary research and credit analysis.
Omega is a majority employee-owned boutique, with Macquarie Global Investments holding a 19.9 per cent equity stake in the business.
