Robeco has appointed former Blackrock staffer Matthew Young as its regional manager for retail business development.
The Sydney-based Young will lead the continued development of Robeco’s financial adviser relationships and promote the firm’s investment strategies.
He will service Australia and report to Stephen Dennis, Robeco’s managing director for Australia and New Zealand.
Young has over 12 years of investment experience in wealth management and retail distribution from his time at Blackrock and prior to that, Colonial First State, where he was a business development manager.
Dennis said Young will play a crucial role in bringing Robeco’s innovative low volatility and emerging markets capabilities to the market, as well as the Boston Partners global equity strategy which will soon be available to Australian investors.
“Given his strong investment background, Matthew is well positioned to provide long-term wholesale solutions and to deepen relationships with financial advisers and researchers in the market,” Dennis said.
