Ross Andrews has been appointed as Environmental Sustainable Governance (ESG) research associate for AMP Capital as part of its expansion of ESG research across investment strategies.

Andrews will assist with determining AMP Capital's stance on issues brought forth at AMP Capital's subsidiary Australian and global company meetings, including global listed property, infrastructure and resource funds and Asian equities.

Engaging with companies on ESG issues, Andrews will also support AMP Capital's ESG analysis of corporate and sovereign bonds, and international analysis of ESG issues and sustainability drivers for various sectors.

Andrews' previous roles with KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers focused on sustainability in Australia and South Africa. He also worked as an environmental consultant, primarily in mining and energy sectors, in South Africa and Mozambique.

Andrews holds a Masters in Corporate Environmental and Sustainability Management from Monash University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia.

AMP Capital's ESG push aims to gain insights into risk areas and medium- to long-term opportunities that may impact the value or performance of an investment.
