The SMSF Association has announced its chief executive and managing director, Andrea Slattery will step down from the role effective May 2017.

Former Actuaries Institute of Australia chief executive, John Maroney, has been appointed as the association's new chief executive.

She will remain a non-executive director of the SMSF Association.

More to come.
