State Street has appointed Ian Martin as its new head of Asia-Pacific, succeeding Wai-Kwong Seck, who has resigned after eight years in the role.

Martin, who had been with State Street for 25 years and held multiple leadership roles during his time, would also continue his current responsibilities as head of global services in the region and would report to Andrew Erickson, head of global services worldwide.

Erickson said Martin had led the company’s businesses in the region throughout his career across investment servicing, trading and research within global markets and data and analytics.

“With his knowledge and experience across our businesses, I am very confident that Ian will build further on our business growth in Asia-Pacific by delivering high quality solutions and services,” he said.
