Sunsuper has appointed Lounarda David to its newly created investment operations manager role.
It comes after Sunsuper recruited David early last year to review its investment operations covering risk management, performance reporting, unit pricing, custody operations, document management, legal and tax, among others.
Sunsuper's chief financial officer Bruce Wilson said David had worked closely with the company's investment and operational areas over several years as a consultant and was instrumental in helping it with the selection and transition to its custodian, State Street Australia.
"In her new role Lounarda will manage the implementation of her recommendations, including developing state-of-the-art middle and back office functions in Sunsuper," Wilson said.
Her role also includes implementation, monitoring and administration of Sunsuper's investments.
David was recently a partner at Mercer and regional director of Mercer Sentinel Asia Pacific. During her 14 years at Mercer she established the Mercer Sentinel business in Asia Pacific.
She also contributed to its global business and expanded their consulting capabilities beyond custody consulting to cover operations, execution, and implementation and monitoring.
