Superannuation lawyer, Ruth Stringer, has returned to MinterEllison as a partner.

She would lead the firm’s national super practice and provide advice to clients on how to respond to legislative change and current and future member needs.

This included changes to regulatory reform, development of retirement income products and investments in technology and data capabilities.

Jeremy Blackshaw, managing partner for capital markets and corporate, said: “"We are thrilled to have Ruth return to the firm. There are few practitioners with Ruth's depth of expertise, diversity of experience, leadership track record, and breadth of industry knowledge. She returns to a practice she successfully established and built to lead and support our clients and a talented team."

Stringer said: “The superannuation sector is dynamic and I look forward to supporting clients as they navigate the ever-changing regulatory landscape.”

“The superannuation team can draw upon the full capability of the firm to harness a wide range of specialist skills to address these and other issues facing industry participants.”

She joined the 16 new partners appointed in July 2022, bringing the total number of partner appointments in FY2022-23 to 17 partners.
