Superpartners hire bolsters compliance capabilities

Superpartners has appointed Lucienne Layton to its executive team to take charge of key corporate service areas including legal, audit, risk, compliance and the corporate portfolio office. 

With over 25 years experience in the industry, Layton joins Superpartners from BT Financial Group where she held the position of head of core risk and compliance, wealth management. 

As Westpac's transformation director, she was responsible for integrating risk and legal frameworks following its merger with St George Bank. 

Prior roles include risk and compliance advice at PwC and Ernst & Young and a stint as senior executive for consumer protection in financial services at the Australian Securities Commission. 

In addition to establishing the first Compliance Officers Association Australia in 1992 - Life Office Compliance Managers Association - Layton was central to developing the Australian Compliance Professionals Association (now the ACI) and implemented the first accreditation program for compliance practitioners through the ACI.  

Superpartners chief executive Peter McNeil said Layton was a welcome addition to the team.
