Towers Watson has announced the establishment of an Australian executive compensation business, to be headed by former Deloitte partner Jonathan Finlay.
Finlay - along with his colleague Stephen Burke - recently retired from Deloitte Australia after the company announced it was exiting the executive compensation business.
Towers Watson managing director Andrew Boal said it was anticipated that Finlay and Burke would bring their strong client base of multi-national, not-for-profit and ASX200 companies over from Deloitte.
"Those clients that choose to engage Towers Watson will continue to be serviced by the same consultants, drawing on the depth and expertise of our global executive compensation team," said Boal.
Finlay will lead a team of seven consultants, including Burke. The team specialises in board and executive pay, regulatory compliance, Australian and global share plans, HR-related due diligence and compensation system design.
Finlay has 30 years of HR consulting and management experience, and Burke has 16 years of international executive remuneration consulting experience. Both men work with the boards of ASX200 companies to consult on pay governance.
