The AMP Superannuation Limited board and N.M Superannuation Proprietary Limited board have appointed two independent non-executive directors, Cathy Doyle and Tony Brain.
Doyle has over 25 years’ experience in the finance, superannuation and consumer services sectors, with senior roles at McDonald’s Australia, BNP Paribas, CBA, Qantas, NRMA and Perpetual.
Brain, a chartered accountant, spent 28 years with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, 12 of which was as a partner, responsible for the provision of assurance and advisory services to clients in the superannuation industry.
Brain was also head of risk management at AustralianSuper for nearly three years and is a non-executive director on a number of boards and their committees.
AMP Superannuation Limited chair, Rick Allert, said the boards welcomed the new directors, and their experience in the super industry would help ensure AMP super funds were governed in the best interests of their members.
The super fund has appointed Queensland director and super fund executive Brendan O’Farrell to its board as part of its ongoing governance renewal.
