AMP Capital has appointed David Strouse and Patrick Wang as portfolio managers to the credit markets team based in Chicago.
Bringing the total number of credit markets team investment professionals to 14, AMP Capital head of fixed income Mark Beardow said the expansion of AMP's global fixed income capability reflects the increased demand for income and the importance of the US market to AMP's clients.
With responsibility for the utilities and pipelines sectors, Strouse joins AMP Capital from UBS Global Asset Management where he held various senior investment management roles analysing and rating the quality of corporate debt issuers across such industries as natural energy and transportation.
Wang was most recently at Aviva Investors in Iowa and previously worked at Seneca Capital Management and Bank of America Capital Management. He considerable experience in credit research in telecommunications, media and technology in high yield and investment grade across core fixed income portfolios, short duration yield and loan portfolios.
Both Wang and Strouse will report to AMP Capital head of credit markets Jeff Brunton.
