Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI) stalwart, Phil Spathis, has passed away following a lengthy illness.

The ACSI confirmed Spathis' passing today, noting that he had been a driving force with Michael O'Sullivan behind the establishment of ACSI.

The ACSI announcement paid particular tribute to Spathis' contribution to governance issues.

I worked with Philip at SPSF, he was a thoughtful man always putting what was right first. Since parting company with SPSF I lost contract of people I held in high regard such as Philip, my condolences to Yvonne, Athena & Arthur
