O little town of Superland

O little town of Superland
How regulated we see thee lie
Enmeshed in laws so very deep
The compliance teams, they sigh
Yet in thy dark streets shineth
The everlasting Light
The hopes and fears of all the years
Exposed to a Royal Commission fright

For APRA is born of bureaucracy
And gathered all above
While politicians sleep, the pen-pushers keep
Their watch of wondering love
O morning stars together
Proclaim the regulatory cost
And praises sing to industry funding
And jobs to those above

How silently, how silently
The regulatory creep occurs!
So APRA imparts to human hearts
The agenda of its chair.
No ear may hear His coming,
But in this world of sin,
Where meek souls will receive him still,
The Chairman enters in.

O holy saviour of Superland
Descend to us, we pray
Cut down our regs and enter in
Be born to us today
We hear the Christmas angels
The great glad tidings tell
O come to us, abide with us
Our Super Emmanuelle
