Bravura Solutions Limited (Bravura) has strengthened its executive team with a key appointment to its senior ranks. Enda Mahoney has been appointed Bravura’s Chief Technology Officer, reporting directly to Bravura’s Chief Executive Officer, Iain Dunstan.

Commenting on the appointment, Dunstan said: “We are delighted to welcome Mr Mahoney to the team. His breadth of knowledge in IT strategy and business support will enhance the growth of Bravura’s business base, both in Australia and globally, as we continue to provide the finance industry with world class software and application services.”

Mahoney has 18 years experience in the IT and financial services industries, including his most recent role as Managing Director for FMC Software and several years as Head of Technology with BT Financial Group. His experience covers platform design, business management, IT strategy, software development and business support.

Franklin Templeton Investments Australia Limited has announced that Maria Wilton, CFA, will succeed John Gall as Managing Director. Wilton will assume this role when Gall retires from the group this month.

Wilton was previously business development manager for the institutional business of BT Financial Group in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, where she was responsible for BT’s existing institutional client base and business development.

She leaves BT after six years of service in business development and portfolio management roles and has more than 20 years of experience in key investment positions. Previously, she has worked for County Investment Management and J.P. Morgan Investment Management.

Gall established an office of Fiduciary Trust International in Australia in 1994. In 2001, Fiduciary Trust International was acquired by Franklin Templeton Investments (Franklin Resources, Inc.), and the Australian office became a subsidiary of Franklin Templeton Investments. Gall became managing director of the new entity, Franklin Templeton Investments Australia Limited.

“John Gall will retire from the company after seeing our Australia business through a period of strong growth, and positioning it for future success. Today the office services over $2.1 billion in assets. We thank him for his service to Franklin Templeton and wish him well in his retirement,” said William Y. Yun, president of Franklin Templeton Institutional. “Maria Wilton comes to Franklin Templeton with strong experience in the institutional market, and under her leadership, we’re confident the Australia business of Franklin Templeton will continue to grow and prosper.”

Prior to assuming his present position as managing director of Franklin Templeton Investments Australia Limited, Gall spent almost 40 years with National Australia Bank, holding several general management positions in the international banking and investment services divisions.
