More than 1,750 people are expected to attend the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) national conference, which begins in Perth tomorrow.
The conference, titled ‘Super — Going the Distance’, boasts 61 speakers including former US vice-president Al Gore.
The conference is being housed within the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and will run until Friday.
ASFA chief executive Philippa Smith said the conference was going from strength to strength, with the number of delegates already equal to the record number that attended last year’s conference in Melbourne.
The conference is expected to be the forum for the release of new research on the impact of government policy on the superannuation industry as well as the relative cost of regulation.
