Bank of New York Mellon Asset Management has a new chief executive in the wake of the departure of Ron O’Hanley to Fidelity.
The New York-based institution announced that it had appointed BlackRock's former fundamental fixed income portfolio chief investment officer, Curtis Arledge, as vice chairman of BNY Mellon Corporation and chief executive of BNY Mellon Asset Management.
It said that Arledge would report to BNY Mellon chairman and chief executive officer, Robert P. Kelly.
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2008, Arledge held senior roles with Wachovia corporation and from 1993 to 1996 was a founding member of Mariner Investment Group.
