CommInsure has announced the appointment of Julie James as state manager for NSW and ACT.
James's strong understanding of the life insurance and the challenges advisers face will stand her in good stead, according to CommInsure general manager for retail advice Tim Browne.
"We conducted an extensive search of the market and attracted a strong pool of both internal and external candidates," said Browne.
Before moving to CommInsure, James was the regional manager for life risk NSW/ACT at Zurich Financial Services, where she also spent eight years as a business development manager (BDM).
James also held BDM roles at Lumley and Tyndall Life, as well as various roles within advice practices over a 10-year period.
James will commence her role with CommInsure in September.
