Energy Super chief executive Robyn Petrou has taken home the Fund Executive Association Limited's (FEAL) highest accolade of the year, the Fund Executive of the Year Award.
FEAL, in partnership with AMP Capital, created the award to recognise leadership, innovation and achievement by a fund executive within Australia's superannuation industry.
Petrou was commended for showing exceptional leadership through the launch and growth of Energy Super and initiating an internal review which aligned processes and systems with the fund's new members.
"Robyn has focused on the needs of its members and the opportunities for growth. She continues to provide certainty for Energy Super's members through her clear and decisive leadership and dedicated member services," AMP Capital head of institutional business, John Meagher said.
Petrou was singled out for the award by a panel of industry leaders and peers and will receive a $20,000 education grant as a prize.

Payday super has passed Parliament, marking a major shift to combat unpaid entitlements and strengthen retirement outcomes for millions of workers.
The central bank has announced the official cash rate decision for its November monetary policy meeting.
Australia’s maturing superannuation system delivers higher balances, fewer duplicate accounts and growing female asset share, but gaps and adequacy challenges remain.
