Energy Super chief executive Robyn Petrou has taken home the Fund Executive Association Limited's (FEAL) highest accolade of the year, the Fund Executive of the Year Award.
FEAL, in partnership with AMP Capital, created the award to recognise leadership, innovation and achievement by a fund executive within Australia's superannuation industry.
Petrou was commended for showing exceptional leadership through the launch and growth of Energy Super and initiating an internal review which aligned processes and systems with the fund's new members.
"Robyn has focused on the needs of its members and the opportunities for growth. She continues to provide certainty for Energy Super's members through her clear and decisive leadership and dedicated member services," AMP Capital head of institutional business, John Meagher said.
Petrou was singled out for the award by a panel of industry leaders and peers and will receive a $20,000 education grant as a prize.
The super fund announced that Gregory has been appointed to its executive leadership team, taking on the fresh role of chief advice officer.
The deputy governor has warned that, as super funds’ overseas assets grow and liquidity risks rise, they will need to expand their FX hedge books to manage currency exposure effectively.
Super funds have built on early financial year momentum, as growth funds deliver strong results driven by equities and resilient bonds.
The super fund has announced that Mark Rider will step down from his position of chief investment officer (CIO) after deciding to “semi-retire” from full-time work.
