(Feb-2005): SFM plans for ASX listing
After more than 12 months of acquisition and growth, Victorian-based Select Funds Management (SFM) has flagged its intention to be listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.
SFM managing director, Chris Kelaher announced last month that the company had appointed Grant Samuel as adviser, and UBS as lead manager for the proposed initial public offering.
“SFM has successfully expanded its business to provide services across the wealth management value chain, including financial advice and distribution, platform management, and administration and investment management,” he said.
“We have a strong position in superannuation funds and a listing on the Australian Stock Exchange would help take SFM’s business to a new level,” he said.
SFM closed out a strongly acquisitive year in late November when it announced the acquisition of a segment of Mellon’s FutureLink Master Trust.
SFM had earlier picked up the super business of OFM Investments as well as acquiring the small dealer group, LynchPin Financial Services.
