Hospitality industry fund Hostplus has made a key appointment it said is aimed at creating stronger links with the hospitality and tourism sector in Queensland.
The fund announced this week that it had appointed a former head of the Hotel, Motel and Accommodation Association, Greg Holmes, as its manager of strategic partnerships.
Commenting on the appointment, Hostplus chief executive David Elia said Holmes would help the fund create more extensive links with members, employers, industry and government stakeholders.
He said the appointment reflected Hostplus’ strategy to rapidly grow its brand in Queensland, which had already seen the opening of a third office in Cairns and plans to further boost sales and service staff in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.
