Former Barclays Global Investors client relationship manager Vivian Sun has been appointed as director of client and consultant relationships by HSBC within the company’s new funds and investments business in Australia.
According to HSBC, Sun will be responsible for managing relationships with key institutional clients and asset consultants and distributing the management capabilities of HSBC Global Asset Management’s specialist investment businesses.
Commenting on the appointment, HSBC’s head of funds and investments, Charles Genocchio, said Sun’s experience in advising institutional investors on global investment markets and strategies was well suited to the international focus being pursued by HSBC.
“We aim to leverage HSBC’s global competitive advantage in Australia by identifying asset management areas that HSBC dominates overseas and bringing those capabilities to meet Australian demand,” he said.
