Intrust Super has been appointed the superannuation fund for members of the National Retail Association (NRA).
The chief executive of Intrust, Brendan O’Farrell, welcomed the decision and said the appointment would cement Intrust as the preferred super fund for hospitality and retail workers.
The retail sector was service oriented and it made sense to group retail workers with hospitality workers in the super fund, O’Farrell said.
NRA executive director Gary Black said Intrust had a sound service record.
“A large majority of our customers employ mainly young staff on either a casual or a part-time basis. Intrust has fine-tuned its services over the years to directly cater for this employment sector,” Black said.
Intrust Super manages approximately $1 billion in super funds. It has 150,000 members.
