Investec Asset Management has appointed Justin Cowper as head of sales and marketing to its Australian asset management business, assuming business development responsibilities for the company in Australia.
Cowper joins Investec from Suncorp/Tyndall Asset Management, where he was head of institutional business, and will work alongside Investec Asset Management Australia managing director Mark Samuelson. He has expertise in both the retail and institutional sectors, having previously worked at Colonial First State and Principal Global Investors.
“Justin’s experience will help us to continue building upon the momentum we have gained in the market and in further developing our relationships with key funds, platforms and consultants,” Samuelson said.
