SimCorp has appointed Malcolm Lister to the role of client manager for Australia and New Zealand in which he will focus on developing relationships across business and technology with key SimCorp clients including Challenger, Macquarie and QBE.

Lister has experience in driving regional growth in financial services, most recently with CA and SAS Institute, according to SimCorp. He also has a background in consulting and has held senior positions with banks such as Standard Chartered and HSBC.

SimCorp Asia managing director Peter Hill said Lister’s background in technology and the financial sector gave him a rare perspective of investment management. “His detailed knowledge of strategic and operational issues will be invaluable,” Hill said.
