South Australian-based local government superannuation fund Local Super has appointed a former Qantas Super Fund director and mining industry executive to its board.
The fund announced this week that it had appointed Ken Williams to its board as an independent director.
Announcing the move, Local Super chair Juliet Brown said Williams had previously held roles in treasury operations at Qantas and Normandy Mining before becoming chief financial officer at Normandy.
Brown said Williams had strong investment and superannuation expertise and replaced independent board member Graham Scott, who passed away late last year.
