State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) has appointed Lochiel Crafter to the newly created role of head of investments for Asia-Pacific.
Crafter will oversee the investment teams in Sydney, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore and is responsible for ensuring coordination across asset classes on common issues of investment processes, research, trading, and developing client-focused solutions, according to SSgA.
He will also manage local product engineering teams and work closely with sales and relationship management.
Crafter joins SSgA from the Australian Reward Investment Alliance (ARIA) where he was the chief executive officer and previously spent seven years with SSgA, most recently as Singapore-based regional chief investment officer for Asia Pacific.
