Metlife has restructured its Australian marketing and distribution operations in a bid to enhance its cross-selling capabilities in the institutional space.
The big insurer announced that, effective immediately, Eric Reisenwitz would head up the restructured team as chief marketing and distribution officer, with Richard Anderson moving from head of institutional to head of product, reinsurance and pricing, while Aaron Stokeld would take on the role of head of institutional insurance distribution and Julian Carpenter would lead as head of direct insurance distribution.
Commenting on the restructure, Reisenwitz said it was designed to capitalize on Metlife's ability to cross-sell products within the distribution channels, driving growth in the business.
He said the new structure would include five teams - Product, Reinsurance and Pricing; Marketing and Distribution; Institutional Insurance Distribution; Direct Insurance Distribution; and Citi Strategic Partnership.
