QIC has appointed former UBS Global Asset Management head of credit research Philip Miall as head of investment-grade credit in its global fixed interest team.
Miall will undertake investment-grade credit research and analysis and assist with the construction of credit strategies for clients’ portfolios, QIC said.
“Philip has a very strong background in fundamental credit research and portfolio management, and has demonstrated his ability to form high-conviction strategies,” said the managing director of QIC’s global fixed interest team, Susan Buckley.
Miall was appointed after a global search and has a track record of working closely with clients in Australia and offshore, according to QIC.
Miall worked most recently as head of credit research, Asia Pacific, at UBS Global Asset Management and altogether has more than 10 years of experience at UBS Asset Management, Westpac and Fitch Ratings, according to QIC.
