QIC tries global approach

In what QIC has described as its first significant move to secure clients outside Australia, the large Queensland-based institution has opened access to its Global Fixed Interest Alpha Fund to international investors via US dollar class of units.

QIC managing director of Global Fixed Interest Susan Buckley said the structure of the fund had allowed QIC to capitalise on global fixed interest markets by developing strategies generated through a disciplined research-based investment process.

QIC has established an Irish QIF structure with Carne Global to be the management company with State Street Dublin selected as the Trustee/Fund Administrator.

QIC has been approved by the Irish Financial Regulator as promoter and investment manager of the QIC global funds.
