State Street Global Advisors names senior portfolio manager

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) has announced the appointment of Robert Pinnuck as senior portfolio manager on its active equity team.

Pinnuck joins SSGA after 13 years with the Goldman Sachs JBWere quantitative research team.

He will be responsible for managing a range of active equity portfolios while utilising his research experience in the quantitative investment process.

“Rob’s background in alpha generation, portfolio construction, risk modelling and attribution are complementary with SSGA’s systematic quantitative investment approach,” said SSGA head of active Australian equities Anthony Golowenko.

SSGA has also recently announced the appointment of Kelly Driscoll as head of SSGA Asia ex Japan to manage SSGA’s activities in Asia ex Japan.

Based in Hong Kong, Driscoll will report to Bernard Reilly, head of SSGA’s business in the Asia Pacific region.
