TelstraSuper has moved to enhance its service offering to members by adding service to its existing financial planning service.
The new offering, announced in late April, will see Telstra Super members able to access services such as wills, estate planning and powers of attorney via the trust offering.
The new arrangement will involve clients of Telstra Super Financial Planning being offered the trust service on a referral basis.
Trusts executive manager said the Trust Wealth Transfer offering was aimed at helping superannuation funds be more competitive in terms of retaining their members.
“Traditionally, the focus has been on wealth accumulation and management for the future,” she said. “However, superannuation funds are also well positioned to educate and help their members to look after their assets and wellbeing in most phases of their lives.”
Following the roundtable, the Treasurer said the government plans to review the superannuation performance test, stressing that the review does not signal its abolition.
