Several wealth management companies have been selected as finalists at the inaugural awards program, which champions those who have transformed the Australian economy with their AI solutions.

The prestigious Momentum Media Australian AI Awards will premiere as a black-tie gala ceremony on Wednesday, 6 November 2024 at the Four Seasons, Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.

The awards – which are the first of its kind in Australia – will provide national recognition to professionals and organisations that have developed innovative artificial intelligence solutions that have catapulted the economy across wealth management, accounting, aerospace, banking, cyber security, defence, mortgage broking, law, and many other sectors.

A total of 193 finalists from multiple sectors of the economy have been chosen to compete for awards across 10 individual and 15 group submission-based categories.

Several wealth management companies are in the running for the awards, including Pivot Wealth, Count, DASH Technology Group, and Suncorp.

EY – which is one of the four largest global accounting networks – has secured 14 nominations across several categories, the highest number among all finalists.

Academics and researchers across various universities in Australia have also become finalists, along with legal services providers, cyber security companies, mortgage broking businesses, real estate agencies, property technology companies, property research groups, and defence and aerospace companies.

The finalists were chosen by using a robust awards methodology to form the backbone for assessing and benchmarking Australia’s leading AI professionals and businesses.

The judging criteria for the award categories are both quantitative and qualitative and acknowledge growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence, and contribution to developing Australia’s AI toolkit.

To shortlist the finalists, all submissions underwent a thorough audit process, checking demographic and other information against category eligibility criteria based on the information provided in the submission.

Those submissions deemed eligible against submission criteria were reviewed and assessed by a panel of Momentum Media events and editorial team members and executives (alongside stakeholders where required) to determine the finalists for each category.

Finalists’ submissions will now be delivered to a judging panel of respected academics, business executives, entrepreneurs, and innovators. They will assess each submission against the criteria of each award category and score each part of the submission across the category’s criteria to reach an aggregated score.

Several judges will individually assess each submission for each category, offering a blended score and assessment.

The combined judging scores for each submission for each category are tabulated, with the highest-scoring submission deemed the winner.

The winners will be announced at the black-tie gala ceremony on Wednesday, 6 November 2024 at the Four Seasons, Sydney.
