With fund managers and superannuation funds being encouraged to be more proactive in voting with their shares in public companies, Melbourne-based firm, ISS Proxy Australia has launched a solution which it claims will allow subscribers to research proxy voting online and then vote from the same platform.
ISS Proxy Australia’s Australian operations director, Dean Paatsch said the launch of the solution had been timed to help fund managers and superannuation funds better manage the workflow and reporting associated with proxy voting over the upcoming annual general meeting season.
He said clients could use the platform to monitor upcoming workflow, highlight controversial issues and access high quality corporate governance research.
Paatsch said the system linked seamlessly to his company’s Votex system, allowing vote instructions to be cast directly with custodians, eliminating manual processes.
