Asset Super has marked the passing of an era with the retirement this week of Warren Adcock as chair of the big superannuation fund.
Adcock, who was a foundation director and trustee of Asset Super, was appointed chairman in 1988 and will be replaced by David Michaelis.
Asset Super general manager, John Paul has paid tribute to Adcock’s service to the superannuation fund saying he had been a major influence in the fund’s growth to over 100,000 members and $1 billion in funds under management.
Adcock’s successor as chair of Asset Super, David Michaelis, is a 61 year old commercial lawyer and current president of Australian Business, who retired from full-time employment in 2001 to pursue his various business interests and directorships.
