Australian Retirement Trust and State Street Investment Management have entered a partnership to deliver global investment insights and practice strategies to Australian advisers.

Executive general manager – advocacy and impact at Australian Retirement Trust (ART), Anna Fuchs, said the collaboration between the fund and State Street will benefit local advisers through providing integrated access to State Street’s investment and practice management insights.

“We know advisers and clients are increasingly looking to take advantage of global investment opportunities to help diversify their portfolios,” Fuchs said. “For the very first time, this powerful collaboration would enable our adviser network to access the incredible depth of expertise State Street Investment Management offers on our Adviser Hub.

“Strengthening the knowledge offering our adviser network can access would in turn have a big impact on our members, and support them being able to reach better outcomes in retirement.”

Head of Asia Pacific at State Street Investment Management, Kevin Adnerson, said the firm’s practice management team will provide in-depth guidance and strategies to assist advisers in growing their practices, while strengthening client relationships.

Additionally, the firm’s research team will also deliver insights on key trends shaping the investment landscape.

Advisers will gain access to practical guidance and evidence-based insights to navigate industry shifts, align with client demands, and strengthen business outcomes.

“We are excited to offer Australian financial advisers insights from our global experts through this unique relationship with ART,” Anderson said. “Together, we are helping Australian advisers create better financial futures for their clients.”

ART, which manages more than $350 billion for over 2.4 million members, is pursuing a strategy to encourage more Australians to engage with their super.

Fuchs said the collaboration is part of ART’s broader mission to support improved access to advice and partner with advisers dedicated to building resilient retirement portfolios.

“As a fund for all Australians, we want our members to achieve a comfortable lifestyle at the end of their working life,” Fuchs said.

She added that part of the strategy is to improve access to advice nationwide, while collaborating with a network of financial advisers to help clients create durable, well-structured retirement portfolios.

“Australian Retirement Trust’s collaboration with State Street Investment Management will support our nation’s hard-working financial advisers to generate advice for our members in support of that goal,” Fuchs said.

“By working cooperatively together, we are confident that we can contribute to setting up our members to enjoy their retirement.”
