AvSuper has added an online calculator to aid member engagement and drive financial literacy via a partnership with decimal.
In the first three days of release more than 10 per cent of the fund’s members had used the calculator, according to AvSuper.
AvSuper chief executive Michelle Griffiths said the calculator benefits members by helping them make better-informed decision about their finances.
“We are delighted with how effectively decimal worked with us to provide an AvSuper solution customised specifically to our members’ needs [that incorporated] our fund rules on areas such as insurance,” she said.
Member feedback had been positive and also provided constructive suggestions for future developments, she said.
decimal chief executive Jan Kolbusz said the calculator is fully integrated from a compliance, workflow and Statement of Advice (SoA) viewpoint.
The AvSuper system removes data duplication, saving downtime for members, and various consoles are available to allow fund staff immediate access to SoAs and for monitoring member and SoA activity, he said.
“The member is engaged from the initial setup of entering minimal details and financial information through to the optional action point of consultation with an AvSuper member advice consultant. The calculator allows the fund to then continue from the point that the member left off,” he said.
