The fund has introduced new portal features for advisers, streamlining administration and enabling quicker, more convenient client authorisations online.

Aware Super has launched a new suite of digital features designed to make it easier for financial advisers to manage administration and support their clients.

The enhancements include direct data feeds to Xplan, online adviser registration and nomination, and in-app approvals for client transactions. According to the super fund, these upgrades aim to trim down on paperwork and speed up processing, allowing advisers to spend more time with clients.

Aware Super group executive, member growth, Steve Travis, said the fund is excited to deliver these upgrades to its Adviser Portal, noting a 24 per cent increase in adviser registrations with Aware Super over the past 12 months.

“This upgrade and enhancement of a key platform used by financial advisers demonstrates our commitment to offering a great digital experience across all our touchpoints and acknowledges the important role advisers play in helping Australians reach their retirement goals,” Travis said.

“Aware Super understands that advisers deliver the greatest value when they’re engaging with their clients, rather than dealing with paperwork and administrative tasks, so we’re striving to make administration as simple, quick and easy as possible.”

Through the new features, advisers can now receive a direct data feed from Aware Super into their Xplan financial planning software, improving visibility and account tracking.

Additionally, clients can approve adviser-initiated transactions within the Aware Super app, providing greater convenience and flexibility. Advisers are also able to register and nominate online, removing the need for manual paperwork.

The upgrade builds on the Adviser Portal’s existing functionality, which includes access to client dashboards, investment option switching, contribution management, withdrawal benefit quotes, binding beneficiary nominations, and Centrelink payment schedule viewing.

“We’re continually updating and enhancing the Adviser Portal as we engage with advisers and welcome feedback on ways we can help them increase efficiency and productivity,” Travis said.

He added that registered advisers also benefit from support provided by Aware’s national business development team and a dedicated adviser engagement and support team.

The Adviser Portal sits on Aware Super’s broader digital platform, which has digitised around 95 per cent of transactions and achieved straight-through processing for more than 80 per cent of tasks.
