BNP Paribas Investment Partners (BNPP IP) has formed a strategic alliance with global equities specialist Carnegie Asset Management for the distribution of Carnegie's product offering in Australia.
BNPP IP will provide local client relationship management, client services and operations support, while Carnegie will provide the underlying investment expertise.
Carnegie Asset Management chief executive and global portfolio manager Bo Knudsen said the company was looking forward to expanding its Australian reach.
"We were looking to further our client reach by partnering with a strong distributor, and BNPP IP has demonstrated proven success in this regard with other investment partners. We look forward to leveraging their experience to further grow Carnegie's business," he said.
BNPP IP chief executive, David Grybas said the alliance fit with the business' "best of breed investment solutions" strategy.
"We conducted an extensive and in-depth search in order to find a global equities partner that matches our business scope and [one] that we felt would provide compelling investment opportunities for the market.
