Australian superannuation fund members look set to be rewarded with another year of double-digit returns, according to the latest data published by SuperRatings.
The Sydney-based research house reported in late April that Australia’s largest superannuation funds were headed towards their highest real returns for over a decade, with the median super balanced investment option gaining a further 2.9 per cent in March, generating a financial year to date return as at March 31 of 15.2 per cent.
Looking at the default balanced investment option returns for the nine months to March 31, the SuperRatings data named the top five funds as being:
~ ING Integra Super — Optimix Balanced (18.5 per cent);
~ STA Super — Balanced (17.8 per cent);
~ AMP Custom Super — Balanced Growth (17.2 per cent);
~ TISS — Diversified Option (17 per cent); and
~ MTAA Super — Balanced (16.9 per cent). SR
