Thus he notes that NGS Super has entered into a commercial arrangement with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC’s) business and finance commentator, Alan Kohler, for its members to gain “exclusive” access to his The Constant Investor publication.
Yes, that is the same Alan Kohler who extracted a healthy dividend when he and his fellow shareholders sold their Eureka Report publication to Rupert Murdoch’s News Limited – a property which News Limited has since seen fit to onsell and not necessarily at a profit.
Rollover is not sure how many other members of the ABC on-camera team are profiting from other business dealings, but accepts that NGS Super was simply listening to its members.
According to NGS Super chief executive, Anthony Rodwell-Ball an in-depth member research project revealed members with “hungry for digestible and easy to understand content” and many cited Kohler’s financial updates.
The NGS Super initiative may give the ABC board pause for thought on the sort of returns it is getting from its ongoing investment in Kohler. He ought to have no complaints.
